It's even faster (10 mintes to prep) and easier (just dump all ingredients into crockpot) if you brown quantities of hamburger in advance (4 pounds fits nicely in my large skillet), then degrease and season it with beef soup base and dried onions. Freeze it in 1 to 1.5 # ready-to-use Zip Loc freezer bags; be sure to note the weight on each bag, for calculating nutrition.Submitted by PBIGELOW6
This is a simple recipe & a family pleaser & Low calorie. Nothing better than a great smelling soup simmering on the stove in the fall & winter days. This is a very good way to see the family gets their vitimans. When I first made this I didn't really know what to expect, so I made another meal as a back up incae the kids didn't like it.. Well to our surprise it was a hit and the whole pot was gone that night and the back up meal was saved for another day :)Submitted by BECCACOATS
This is my first try at homemade soup and it turned out great! I like my soup with lots of chewing in every bite, so if you like yours more liquidy, you might want to add some more broth. Submitted by LEANVIXEN
Yes, I did just use the terms high protein, low carb, low fat, CHOCOLATE, and brownie in a recipe title... this isn't a lie folks, it's a tried and true concoction that is sure to knock your socks off! I bet you thought you'd never hear healthy and heavenly words combined in the same sentence, let alone, recipe! But here we have it... a brownie that is so good for you, and unbelievelably good to eat!
AND... it's a single serve recipe (so no temptations... even the best of foods should be eaten in moderation), takes but a minute to prepare, and an even shorter amount of time to make (plus it's microwavable!).
So enjoy this miraculouse, devine, and oh so delicous treat! I know that I have. Happy healthy eating!Submitted by JULZDANCERUNS

Small mini muffins of crustless quiche made of chicken, feta, spinach, ricotta, & egg whites. Low fat and low carb.Submitted by STARSBELOW
Pork has been a very friendly protein for me since WLS. However it has a tendency to get a bit dry. Therefore, I have been trying ways to add a sauce, or moisture to top off my chop or tenderloin. This is yummy, crunchy, reminds me of the holidays. The cinnamon and nutmeg go great with the sweet onion and crunchy tart apples.Submitted by KATHYP63
Since the original recipe submitted by JOEKNEE had ingredients that were higher in carbs (i.e. fat free HH, carrots, turkey), I tweaked it and brought the carb count down some! Remember to calculate Net Carbs (subtract the fiber count from the total carbs) to get the true # of carbs.Submitted by LILI0409
Roasted tomatoes, artichoke hearts, asparagus and (believe it or not) romaine lettuce form the body of this delicious, low-carb lasagne delight. Protein comes in the form of garlicky low-fat cottage cheese and silken tofu that have been pureed into a gorgeous white sauce filled with paprika, oregano and fresh basil! Recipe adapted from Ricardo Larivee.Submitted by JO_JO_BA
