This is not the healthiest, but I used pork and turkey hot dogs so it made it a little better. Sometimes you still just need some comfort food. This can be served with lentils or brown rice or noodles, etc. That is not reflected in the nutritional info however. All measurements are approximate.

This is supposed to taste like the Maid-Rite, loosemeat sandwiches, which I've never had. But I also think this tastes very similar to White Castle hamburgers.
I actually added more worcestershire sauce than the recipe said. Very good.

You can use leaner meat, for less calories and fat.

Threw this together to use up leftovers. I used garden eggplant I had frozen. You may want to cook fresh eggplant before adding it. I boil the sausage for quite a while before hand to take out some of the fat. The nutrition info doesn't reflect that.

This is from Good Housekeeping with some changes of my own. Makes a quick supper or lunch. Delicious in hot weather when you don't feel like heating up the kitchen. You can add other ingredients to this as well, such as green beans, cherry tomatoes, fresh herbs, or stuff tomatoes with it. (Not reflected in nutritional info)

Editor's note: Use your favorite milk or yogurt in this recipe. Use ice cubes instead of water for a frozen treat.

Most of the smoothie recipes I've seen are for 3-6 servings. This is a good smoothie for just 1 person. It can be made with a stick blender instead of getting the big one dirty for just one drink!
