This is supposed to taste like the Maid-Rite, loosemeat sandwiches, which I've never had. But I also think this tastes very similar to White Castle hamburgers.
I actually added more worcestershire sauce than the recipe said. Very good.

You can use leaner meat, for less calories and fat.

Threw this together to use up leftovers. I used garden eggplant I had frozen. You may want to cook fresh eggplant before adding it. I boil the sausage for quite a while before hand to take out some of the fat. The nutrition info doesn't reflect that.

This is from Good Housekeeping with some changes of my own. Makes a quick supper or lunch. Delicious in hot weather when you don't feel like heating up the kitchen.
