This recipe I make every fall when pumkins are fresh. The recipe first called for a pound of sausage and heavy cream. I find this soup is WONDERFUL without it, and even my kids will eat it with a dollop of sour cream on it.

This is a twist on a Cuban Pork and Garbanzo Bean Soup recipe I use. It's came out GREAT and is much healthier. Oh, and the seeds in the jalapeno is what makes it spicy, so just remove the seeds if you don't like it too spicy. All the ingredients are organic, so it naturally has less sodium than if you use traditional ingredients.
