Created this recipe years ago and made it cleaner by using whole wheat pasta. Use any whole grain pasta you like. Its even not bad without the cheese.

This recipe came from one of my good friend's mom. She is an awesome cook! I adapted it a little to make it healthier by using brown rice instead of white. You could also substitue chicken, turkey, or tofu instead of beef, but the traditional recipe mirrors old fashioned halupki with beef and rice wrapped in cabbage leaves.

Made like my grandmother used to. Not low calorie but yummy. Using ground turkey or chicken instead lowers fat and calories if you don't eat red meat.
