Oh, the sweetness.... Sweet doesn't have to be sinful. While sweets are not my weakness, I do like to partake in a few cookies or some cake every now and then.

Very Low Fat Low Calorie Oatmeal Raisin Cookies
Incredible! 5.0/5

These are DELICIOUS!!!! They are large, and the big raisins really deliver a sweet burst when you bite into them. You could also use all black raisins for a traditional oatmeal raisin cookie, but I had these raisins in the cabinet and decided to give it a try. The colors in the raisins make them more attractive. Also, you could probably reduce the Splenda by ½ only using ¼ cup because these cookies are very sweet! They are chewy and delicious! As you can see from the picture - they make rather big cookies!

My inspiration to make this was the day I made my family heirloom recipe for a traditional Bavarian plum tart, served over a delicious shortbread crust. I didn't want to surrender to that, so I gently simmered my own serving of plums. The plums made such a delicious syrup that I decided to serve it over yogurt. I loved it!

Forget fruit yogurts with high fructose corn syrup. You can do this to any kind of stone fruit so that you can eat fruit in a delicious way.

My favorite plum to use are Italian Prunes. They're a little tricky to find, but they come into season around September.

Great as a dessert with a scoop of vanilla low fat ice cream or as is.
Tastes like apple pie without the calories of the crust.
You can just use the apples if you don't like pear and if you want a little tartness add some crasins
You can use less splenda brown sugar, I really don't measure it I just sprinkle it on top (so I really think I use less than 1/4 cup)

Banana Chocolate Cupcakes
Very Good 4.8/5

This Banana Chocolate Cupcake recipe makes 24 regular-sized cupcakes which is perfect for a large gathering or birthday party. The batter is a snap to make because you just stir the wet ingredients together in one bowl and the dry ingredients together in another bowl. Mix the two and you are done. The batter is quite thin so use an ice cream scoop or small ladle to fill the muffin cups. Now while the recipe calls for cocoa powder, it doesn't specify which kind, which means you can use either regular unsweetened or Dutch-processed. As always, keep in mind that the type and brand of cocoa powder you use will determine the flavor of the cupcakes, so use the best you can afford. The other ingredient in this batter to take note of, is that the fat is in liquid form (canola or corn oil). The reason I bring this up is because oil makes for a moist and tender cupcake that stores very well, with the added advantage that they can be refrigerated and still stay soft.
