I made a healthier version of a traditional Greek dish. Use extra-lean ground beef and 1% milk in the bechamel sauce. If you don't find the Kefalograviera cheese, you can use parmesan instead.

Cookbook creator says: Cinnamon needs to be cut down to 1/2 t. I subbe ff Lactaid for the ff evaporated milk with excellent results. Next time start the water for the pasta first, then cut the onion and cook the ground beef. Then start on the bechmel. I put mozerella on 1/2 of pist. and parm on other 1/2.

took someone elses recipe and tweaked it with what I had in my pantry.... this is what I came up with. I think the fat is wrong as I used 93/7 ground beef. I also used homemade taco spices (very easy, will post recipe next) so no added flour to recipe.

I like to put everything in before I go to work and then have a meal waiting for me when I get home. You can have it on bread or, if you're cutting back on bread, it's good as a compliment to anything - brown rice, salads, etc.
