My daughter gave me this idea. I use it instead of margarine on my toast in the morning. You can also use it as a cream cheese replacement in recipes. It's not as creamy as cream cheese but it works just as well and has more protein and much less fat. This is one of Hungary's well known and beloved dishes. It traditionally uses bacon drippings and whole cut-up chicken with skin. I also now use yogurt as a thickener for the sauce instead of the traditional roux. I have "lightened" it as best I can without loosing the flavour. It is usually served with dumplings called "Galuska", recipe follows, but I would recommend brown rice or whole grain pasta, rye bread and a lettuce salad (recipe also follows) . It sounded great, but I wanted to use less oil, didn't want to buy garam masala (when I had the ingredients for it on hand already), added a missing ingredient into the calorie count, and reduced the serving size.
