Cookbook creator says: Please remember to be generous with your seasonings. I also soak all raw onions I eat in cold water in the fridge for at least 1/2 hr. so they don't bite me back in my tummy. I always am inspired to make this when they are selling 10 for a * at my grocery store.

make it for a topping and use immediately. The times estimate 1 min. for measuring and the other 4 Min's. to stir it. Approximately. It lasts long enough to make it and then serve it with whatever. It is not intended as a sauce to put aside for later.
