If you drink a lot of sodas, or "loaded" coffee drinks, you may be drinking hundreds of calories a day. I don't have excess calories to trim there. I drink mostly water. I do add half and half or milk to my coffee, but even at several cups of coffee in a day, it's less than 100 calories. I rarely drink juice or milk. I do way more fitness than 10 minutes walking/day and track my food so I stay in my calorie range, and I cannot lose 1 lb/week. It comes off much more slowly. So I agree with others who have commented that the title is misleading. Still, for a lot of Americans, replacing most of their drinks with water and walking an extra 10 minutes/day, would make a big difference for them. It just goes to show what poor habits are prevalent in the US.
