Just starting today. I was wondering if anyone else has hyperthyroidism. Would love to discuss your diet with you. I like the idea of smoothies. I use blueberries,almond milk and I'm thinking of adding a powder protein but I haven't bought one yet, any suggestions for a good protein with low sugar. I also use Omega 3,6,9, 1000 mg every day.
I think it will be fun to have a support group going through this. I look forward to talking to you soon.

just beginning today. my smoothie is frozen raspberries/blackberries/fresh strawberries-
a cup of two fruits daily, wheatgrass, msm, flaxseed and safflower oils - a teaspoon of each, and a sachet of sweet and low; a little water or soya milk.

I'm not sure how to make myself how to follow the diet. I can make myself do the workouts well atleast for now, but the diet is my mortal enemy.

My favorite smoothie is made with 1/2 cup of frozen strawberries, 1/2 cup of frozen blueberries, half a banana, a cup of ice, some water and two tablespoons of ground flax. This is enough for about three cups. Its a good way to get flax.

I hear ya i want to loose weigtt so bad but the more i want to get up and get motivated the more i eat. I am a stress eater and my stress has been out of this world i need to learn to get out and walk in stressful times.

I had a friend introduce me to smoothies. I love them. My kids hate to eat breakfast but I can get them to have a smoothie in the morning, even my picky eater. I sip this throughout the morning and I find it does the trick. also if I feel like something sweet this really does the trick if I use chocolate. I used to drink caramel lattes from dunkins every morning now I have a smoothie. Much better choice.

I absolutely love smoothies in the morning. I use a protein shake mix like the Curves Protein Shake, or WW shake, add in a pack of flavored gelatin, almond milk, 1 cup of ice, and blend. Sometimes I use real fruit (frozen) instead of the ice. Very delicious and keeps me full for at least 2-3 hours.
