By making this recipe with dried Great Northern Beans, I was able to decrease the sodium content considerably. I cooked a 16 oz bag of beans per directions. I used 1/3 of the cooked beans for this recipe. The other beans can be stored in the refrigerator and used on salads, or frozen for the next time this recipe is made. Submitted by 60SIXTY

Sauce to be used instead of canned, condensed soups in Make Ahead recipes.
