I live in China and love the spicy-ness of this dish. You can use pork, chicken, beef, or simply have it with no meat if you prefer. Submitted by GODSWAY4LIFE
Don't let the basil throw you off, this is almost like an oriental dish...throw in some saffron rice and you have a great meal!Submitted by ANGELPECK
A simple and delicious tofu recipe. The cornstarch helps the sauce stick to the tofu.
Vegetarian oyster sauce (mushroom sauce) can be found at Asian grocery stores or in the Asian food section of some supermarkets.Submitted by FIRELIGHT314
I love experimenting with mock meats I find at Asian markets. Note: read ingredients carefully! If you are vegan, many mock meats contain whey, so be sure to avoid those.Submitted by FIRELIGHT314
Had this soup at a Sushi Restaurant and loved it. Very tasty and low on calories and fat. Can be made with any vegetables you have on. I found my jar of MISO at a health food store. As MISO is made from fermented soy beans, no need to add salt.Submitted by HEATLW
Taken from Epicurious. I love the flavor of 5 spice seasoning and this is going to be my Easter chicken! The recipe says to use a cut up chicken but I'm going to roast it whole on a rotisserie with the onion stuffed inside. Also, rub some seasoning on the inside of the chicken for extra flavor. The best 5 spice powder I've found is an Asian blend in a pouch at an Asian food store. The brand name is Lobo. It's sodium and sugar free and only .85 cents a pack with enough for at least 50 uses!Submitted by LADYPHOENIX61
