I tried to calculate by how much sauce I actaully make, because you can freeze it. After dinner you can put it into 3 different containers (16 oz) and you have sauce for 3 additional meals. BE SURE YOU ADD THE SALT AT THE END FOR TASTE.
Its very easy I just fired up the hamburger and sausage. When the meat is almost done I throw in the yellow onion and all the other spices. I simmer it for about 10 mins. then put in the canned tomatoes. I simmer those for about 10 mins. then put in the tomato sauce and tomatoe paste. I let it all simmer on low for about an hour. Its really good, my kids refuse to let me use jar sauce. Submitted by LBPD2003
