This is a really delicious alternative to that boring bowl of oats. Not only can it be prepped beforehand in no time, but it can be eaten hot or cold, on its own or in a bowl with some milk and brown sugar (should you desire).
For a change of pace, add in mashed banana, apple, berries, raisins, nuts or chocolate chips - the possibilities are endless!
Note: if using sugar-free applesauce instead of apple butter, up the Splenda to 1 1/2 cups. This can also be prepped beforehand and refrigerated overnight, then baked.Submitted by CARLY783
I saw this recipe in a cookbook I have for my toddler. I changed it around to make it a little more healthy so I can enjoy them too!
He loves them and I do too! Submitted by BOSTONSPINGIRL
I found this recipe and love them. I double the batch and put them in a Ziploc bag and put them in the fridge. In the morning I just pop them in the toaster. For a little extra protein I also add a scoop of whey protein powder. I do not give my son that one. I put them in two separate Ziploc bags and mark them, “protein”. He loves them too and they fill you up! Submitted by BOSTONSPINGIRL
