Rotolo Di Spinaci
Rotolo Di Spinaci

This pasta and spinach roll is very popular in Tuscany due to the high quality of ricotta they produce. Making the rich, eggy pasta by hand is worth the effort here - the store-bought sheets cannot do this filling justice. You can comprimise by using store-bought pasta sauce for topping it, though, if you wish.

*Note* you will need a large pot and cheesecloth for this recipe.Submitted by JO_JO_BA

Bubbie's Baked Cabbage Rolls

I got the original recipe for these kasha-stuffed cabbage rolls layered in between ribbons of sauerkraut from one of my old church cookbooks. All I did was nix the ground pork and swap in TVP, veggie broth and liquid smoke or a hearty vegan dinner delight.

Old fashioned Scandanavian cookies that use baker's ammonia for the leavening. Baker's ammonia can be purchased at most grocery and baker's supply shops, and cause the cookies to reek to high Heaven in the oven. Once cooked, though, they are all vanilla and peppermint.Submitted by JO_JO_BA
