A convenient way to serve turnips for a holiday meal, I prepare the caserole ahead and freeeze it until the day of feasting. Submitted by BARBARA-ANNE

Cranberry & Pineapple Salsa

With bright red cranberries, green peppers, and a sweet & spicy kick, this makes a great alternative to heavy winter appetizers. Serve with tortilla or pita chips, top grilled chicken, add to a salad, or toss into quesadillas. Submitted by TCLOUDERMILK

Melissa's Banana Oatmeal Chocolate chip cookies

You will love this cookie, but it is not the most calorie loving cookie out there, but Oh so yummy. I make them two times a year.Submitted by SITTERCHIC

Tea - Party Mice

I took a cue from Alice in Wonderland (one of my favourite movies!) when naming this recipe, an adaptation of one that I found on Flickr. Cookie mice are decorated with licorice tails and sprinkle eyes! Perfect for the Christmas platters.Submitted by JO_JO_BA

Grandma's Gourmet Cranberry Pudding

Another definite "keeper" recipe given to my mom from my Grandma. She made this a couple times a year, usually between Thanksgiving and Christmas when we had my Grandpa's birthday and family holiday events. The sauce makes this spectacular... don't skip it!Submitted by JO_JO_BA

Aunt Roboye's Sweet Potato Casserole

I'm hesitant to share the recipe because of the fat content, but I wanted to know just how bad this dish was....bad. Tastes so very yummy as it, please feel free to substitute with less fatty ingredients. Though I was informed that margarine cannot be used to replace the butter, don't know why...wonder what happens...Submitted by DEADEENA

Low Fat Version of Aunt Roboye's Sweet Potato Casserole

I know it won't quite be the same, but I had to "lighten" it up. We eat this as a side dish with Thanksgiving and Christmas, but its sweet enough to be a dessert.Submitted by DEADEENA
