Chocolate chip cookies from the taste of home cookbook with a few substitutions.
I substituted half a cup of the butter and shortening for the cup of applesauce. I took out .25 cup of sugar. I measured the brown sugar loosely instead of packing it, and I took out a tsp of salt. I also substituted 3 and half cups of whole wheat flour for the all purpose.
Basically I took out half the fat from the butter and shortening and reduced the sugar and added in whole wheat flour to make it better for you.Submitted by SAKURABLOSSOM9
