This base works well for fruit cakes, European style. Similar to an angel cake or Victoria sponge cake I think. I topped it with fresh strawberries and agar-agar but any fruit would work well. You might even put a thin layer of custard or vegan pudding onto the cake base and then top it with the fruit. Extra yummy and the fruit juice won't soak the base.Submitted by LYSI77
