to be inspired to make Bitter melon Raita. My mother used to make bitter melon chutney as we called it, by mixing the well marinated and sauteed bitter melon pieces with coconut masala. I want to thank WINKYSHYAM for inspiring me to use yogurt in the recipe. Boy, did it taste great!!!! One can reduce their blood sugar level by eating one gourd daily or by drinking its juice which is how I reversed my diabetes of 7.5 A1C to a normal of 5.6 now. Good Luck folks!

Jal Jeera Powder(Cold Drink Spice Powder)

During the hot Summer months we use this drink to cool off.The traditional recipe calls for Tamarind but I prefer to use only Lemon Juice instead.I am giving both Recipes and you can try both and choose whichever you prefer.
Sodium Content is shown as high because Rock salt is not listed in the Calorie Counter.Rock Salt has a much higher Potassium and far Lower Sodium level than Regular Salt.It is advised for Heart and High Blood Pressure patients in Ayurveda. However it does contain Sodium so reduce the quantity if desired---this is the traditional table.

half moons

These are nice appetizers in the shape of a halfmoon. They're crispy outside with a creamy chicken filling.
It takes a while to make the whole batch but they last a long time as they are frozen and you only bake as many as are needed.

This is one favourite Tea time treat which used to be made regularly when I was a child.Easy to make, this is tasty and healthy too.Besides you can add Green Leafy Vegetables to it to make it healthier. If one makes this a little less spicy, children too will enjoy eating this. This proportion serves 4-5 people but the Calorie Count is given per piece so each Person can decide exactly how many pieces he or she should eat!!!
