Baked Chicken Parmesan
Baked Chicken Parmesan

A tweaked version of several recipes. Very filling and I managed to keep it relatively healthy. Takes a lot of prep since I made everything from scratch but you can certainly shorten the time by using ready to use ingredients. Just make sure the stuff in them are good for you. Turkey lasagna

This is a wonderfully hearty lasagna that's a little high in sat fats but great as a once in a while treat. My family loves this and I usually make extra to freeze and for him to take to work. I used 11 lasagna noodles (couldn't figure out the proper conversion numbers) {1 noodle = 1 serving} Prep time can be reduced if you buy pre shredded cheese. I shred mine as the pre shredded cheese cost almost twice as much. Submitted by USCHI0762

Marinara Primavera with Penne

I love to eat pasta, and I can go over on calories with it too easily. I made this sauce the spread the calories thin while having a huge serving of pasta!! You will be stuffed after this one but not break the calorie bank! And yes, this is ONE serving!Submitted by BONDGIRL2010

Lasagna alla Bolognese

Lasagna can seem like a big production, but it's really just a few components made ahead of time and then assembled. This lasagna can be put together and frozen in the slow-cooker insert until firm and then stored in a zipper-top plastic bag in the freezer for up to three months.

The Bolognese sauce can be homemade in the slow cooker or on the stovetop. This lasagna isn't the traditional all-American version with ricotta cheese; it's a lighter version that has creamy béchamel sauce and fresh mozzarella layered between delicate no-boil lasagna noodles.Submitted by SECRETLYBJ

Italian Style Stewed Tomatoes

I like to make this as a side dish at dinner. Served with swordfish and a salad makes for a low calorie meal. Sometimes when I am famished and just have to have something late at night I make this dish because it is filling and won't ruin the diet for the day - even if I eat both servings.
