Cook's Notes: The batters may appear to mix when you pour them into the pan, but they completely separate while baking, with the flan ending up on the bottom when it's inverted. I like eating it warm, but traditionally, it is chilled 24 hours before serving.

Cajeta is a thick and creamy spread or paste made with caramelized sugar and milk. It is used as a desert on its own or as a topping. This is a low carb soup which is filling and tasty, perfect for a hearty lunch. Supplement with a green salad or with salsa. Calories can be cut further by using low fat cheese and sour cream or scaling back the amount of cheese used. Vegetarian southwestern chili

This recipe is easy to throw together; simply open the canned goods of your choice, mix them in with the spices, and allow to simmer until heated through.

I do recommend allowing it to simmer at least an hour in order for the flavors to integrate and we like to add chipotle pepper powder to ours for that smokey flavor.Submitted by WALKERTXKITTY
