This dish is great, but spicy. When chopping the jalapeno, use gloves and WASH YOU HANDS!! A LOT! I made the mistake of not throughly washing my hands and touched my eye. It hurt a great deal, I don't with that on anyone!Submitted by SYMONEB
This recipe is great if you want to stretch your taco meat and if you want a bit of a fiber punch. It makes a ton of filling (nutritional info is approximate, based on how much filling you use per taco--when I use 6" tortillas, I actually get more than 12 tacos). This entree is especially cheesy! The sodium content is high - next time I will sub salsa for low sodium and will only use half of the seasoning packet.
Suggest using reduced sodium salsa to reduce sodium count
