I got the original version of this recipe from my sister. It is so much fun to cut the oranges into 8 wedges and blenderize them WITH THE PEEL STILL ON THEM! :-) Ultra high fiber, moist, and very good for you.

To increase the protein to calorie ratio I halved the sugar and oil, took out the nuts, swapped carbalose flour for standard flour, egg whites for whole eggs, and added a cup of defatted peanut flour to increase the protein. And they still taste good!

Honey Roasted Peanut Butter - Whole Foods Duplicate

I love Whole Foods Peanut Butter that you press yourself. I read the ingredients and they used can sugar, so I decided to copy the recipe the best I could. Pretty darn close. However I don't know how there calorie count is so low. 160 calories for 1/4 cup? That must be the peanuts and not actual peanut butter.

This granola was designed to provide maximum Protein, Fibre and Potasium while trying to minimize sugars, without using protein powder. Serving size is 1/2 cup. I use it on top of plain yoghurt or cottage cheese. Try it. I think it is better tasting than ANY granola (healthy or not).
