Cookbook creator says: I used only pinto and kidney beans that were rinsed and substituted tomato sauce for chopped tomatoes. I also added a touch of water and additional chili powder. This recipe is delicious and very quick to make.

Cookbook creator says: MMM-mmm! I halved this recipe and cooked it in an 8x8 glass casserole dish. Hubby would prefer biscuits instead of bread in this recipe, but it'll still end up healthier/lower-calorie than my old-fashioned version of this dish. Easy to make with minimal hands-on time.
