I just created this last night, because I was craving trail mix but didn't want all the calories and salt. A lower calorie and lower salt version of regular trail mix, and the roasted pecans just make it too yummy!

Craving chips and dip? Try these instead! You can also add any spices you want - onion powder or garlic powder both work great. I imagine oregano might as well, or if you're in the mood for sweet instead of salty, maybe a little finely ground cinnamon sugar would be just the ticket! I brought two batches of these to Easter dinner last spring, with a bowl of homemade hummus to dip them in. There were none to bring back home!
