I love trail mix and dried fruit. This is a candy free recipe that tastes like it has candy in it. Kids thinks the fruit snacks are gummy bears.Submitted by MAGGIEW46

Provide quick energy whenever you're running out of steam, or after a hard workout when you need a quick fix for your blood sugar. They are NOT low-cal, they are intended as a snack to tend you over when you don't have time to prepare something. Full of fiber and healthy fats they do the trick.Submitted by BINEMELLES

Simple Spiced Chai

This is how I make chai when I need something warm that makes me feel enveloped in comfort without the added calories of my former addiction: hot chocolate. It's spicier (in a warming way that is very soothing) and lighter in taste than any chai from a coffee shop. The method is also quite authentic. If you can, make sure to use fresh, whole cardamom pods, whole cloves, and freshly ground black pepper. You can also add a couple of drops of vanilla extract or use a very small amount of fresh ginger. The recipe is calculated with four teaspoons of sugar, but it is completely up to you. Grandma's Cheese Ball

This recipe was my Grandma's. She rolled it into a ball and rolled it in crushed walnuts before putting it on the table. I don't bother with the nuts. Also, one box of Ritz crackers (4 sleeves) is the perfect size for this cheese ball. Add more minced garlic if you like garlic. The cheese ball tastes better if you let it blend overnight in the refrigerator, but it can also be eaten after you mix it. :-)Submitted by TSPRAGUE1
