You can vary fresh and frozen fruits according to your preference. I usually freeze peeled bananas wrapped in wax paper. You can add some sweetener if you like.

I love this soup and eat it all the time! It is super easy to make. I use home cooked pinto beans. You can substitute canned, but the sodium count will be different. You can also substitute any other canned or cooked bean of your choice.

My version of Dutch Apple Pancake is not very sweet. You can increase the honey if desired or use agave nectar or sugar. You can use regular milk of your choice in place of the soy milk. I use a small cast iron skillet to saute the apples and then transfer to the oven.

A healthy way to get your chocolate fix. Jolyn uses agave nectar and/or Splenda. I like to use agave nectar and different flavored Torani sugar free syrups, usually half chocolate and half whatever I have on hand. I have used coconut and raspberry so far. The calorie count is based on 2 tablespoons agave nectar and Torani sugar free syrup. Using 1/3 cup agave nectar, the calorie count increases to 224 calories per serving.

You can add or substitute other diced vegetables as you desire, such as cucumber and carrot. Sesame oil would be a nice touch, but I am trying to eat as little fat as possible right now.

I divided this into four servings, but you could divide into more if you did not want to eat so many calories at once. I use different flavors of Torani syrup. This batch I made half chocolate and half orange. You could make this totally sugar free by substiting Splenda for the agave nectar.
