Scots broth
14ozs chicken or lamb. 12ozs carrots,12oz swede and 1 leek.
2.5ozs split peas,2.5ozs barley,
Cook meat in own juices add carrots leek and swede, stir at high heat for 5 mins add 2pts water boil for 5 mins then simmer for 45mins.
Peas need to be stepped overnight in cold water.
