A simple protein shake that I added to ease adding to my daily meals rather than entering all the ingredients separately. Regardless, this is an amazing shake! Life's Basics protein is probably the best protein powder I have ever tasted, and I have tried many including most of Optimum Nutrition's proteins before I went vegan.

This is a great chicken recipe that we add spanish rice and refried or pinto beans on the side. Corn tortillas are good with this too. All spices are subject to your taste.
The number of servings varies - we eat about 1/2 a breast per person with the side dishes and tortillas. I have calculated at 8 servings.
When using Chicken Boullion and Caldo de Tomate - they are both very salty. Start with smaller amounts and add at the end of the cooking time if needed. You can also use low sodium chicken flavor.

I combined two recipes, one for black bean brownies (that sometimes gets complaints for being too gooey) and one for whole wheat brownies (that can be to dry), and replaced the sugar with Splenda. You could add walnuts to the batter just before baking. Try icing them with cream cheese, Splenda and cocoa. Suitable for diabetics and those on Phase 2 of South Beach. Each serving has just 15 grams of carbs, a safe diabetic snack.

Yes, I did just use the terms high protein, low carb, low fat, CHOCOLATE, and brownie in a recipe title... this isn't a lie folks, it's a tried and true concoction that is sure to knock your socks off! I bet you thought you'd never hear healthy and heavenly words combined in the same sentence, let alone, recipe! But here we have it... a brownie that is so good for you, and unbelievelably good to eat!

AND... it's a single serve recipe (so no temptations... even the best of foods should be eaten in moderation), takes but a minute to prepare, and an even shorter amount of time to make (plus it's microwavable!).

So enjoy this miraculouse, devine, and oh so delicous treat! I know that I have. Happy healthy eating!
