This is a typical dish made in Costa Rica. Very similar to others, just with an ingrediente specific to Costa Rica

My Mom discovered this recipe in Venezuela, and it has always been one of my favorites. Kind of time intensive, but totally worth it!

I removed some of the oil, added extra bell peppers, and use whole wheat pasta now to make it a bit healthier.

mash the potaoe. boil the meat and the shered, saute the scallions and tomatoes. make the masaharina acording to package instructions.mixed the potato, tomato and meat together. make asmall ball with the masaharina and the make it flat with a plate put a little bit of the mixture in the middle, anf deep fry it.

My "tradition" of roast beef, with some added nutritional value from adding more vegetables. Rutabagas look and sound weird to people, but they're easy to cook in this recipe, and VERY high in potassium!
