Sauteing the rice and onion adds tons of flavor with very little fat.
This is a take off of a family recipe used with hamburger and cream of mushroom soup. It is a great source of comfort on cold evening and even better served the next day. To reduce the sodium use a healthier version of the cream of celery soupSubmitted by SLEATHERMAN
I LOVE chicken & dumplings so when I found this I added my own spin to it and lowered the fat and calories. This is the best chicken and dumplings I've ever had which is amazing since I'm never satisfied with my cooking! You can have a full cup of this hearty comfort food for only 284 calories and 3.8 grams of fat! The sodium could be reduced if homemade biscuits are used instead of the canned biscuits, but if sodium isn't a problem this is a very fast and easy way to make chicken & dumplings!Submitted by STEPH2003

My aunt Gwen was a great cook and she kept go-to, quick recipes that were always as good as her spent-all-day-making recipes. This was one of my favorites from her go-to, quick list.Submitted by LADYPHOENIX61
This recipe came from the chicken enchilada recipe I submitted earlier. I didn't need to make that many chicken enchiladas, so I made this up to make a slightly different meal. I used the remaining sauce from the chicken enchilada recipe, then added the remaining chicken and added the chicken broth. Submitted by SKEYDOO
This is something that was a hit with my hubby and 3 year old. I took some stuff we had and put it together (I was craving cabbage) I also used low-sodium cream of mushroom soup when I made it, but for the recipe, put down regular (as I think it would help with flavoring)
You may want more or less salt and pepper for taste.Submitted by JOYPHOTOG
