This homemade alternative to store-bought granola bars, is a good source of protein, fiber and healthy fats. Tasty and so simple to make! A quarter cup of raisins (not included here) also make a yummy addition!

Cookbook creator says: instead of egg... you can use a half brown banana. I also used Agave instead of Brown sugar... Also, almond milk instead of reg milk. Turned out sticky and soft. Yummy!

The pine nuts really complement the lemon flavor, but if you decide to leave them out, you can deduct about 30 calories and 3 grams of fat per serving. I also used Wegmans Vegetable Stock which is lower in sodium than most regular vegetable stocks.

This is a traditional miso soup that is perfect for those times when you need something with just enough flavor to not overwhelm you, but not so little flavor that it sucks!
