Very Good 4.3/5
(16 ratings)

During the week, my morning time is very limited and I used to skip breakfast. After refocusing to ensure I ate something filling, healthy and quick EVERY morning, I started to make these. Usually, I make two at a time, one for my wife as well and we will drink it before heading out to our work outs.

This is a double recipe. If you are eating alone, you can wrap the other half in foil and stick in in the fridge. To reheat, you just pop it in the oven! I use leftovers to make these in a snap!

From www.mensfitness.co.uk

4 thick slices of fresh pineapple
1 stick of celery
1 inch piece of ginger
200ml water
30g flavourless whey protein powder
Why it works

The pineapple has a compound known as bromelain – a natural anti-inflammatory and painkiller. “The celery is also a pain-zapping master so powerful it’s used against arthritis and gout, while the ginger has chemicals which have anti-inflammatory and painkilling properties. All of these ingredients work together with the protein to refuel your muscles and help you feel less sore the next day.”

Really Rich Banana Bread
Incredible! 5.0/5
(3 ratings)

This banana bread is really low fat but you would never know it! To make it even lighter use splenda and a full cup applesauce and eliminate the butter completely. My husband who is "anti-diet food" LOVES it! Add chocolate chips or walnuts in the last step to mix things up a bit!

Technically this is a crustless quiche, but the addition of flour makes for a delicious crusty bottom and sides.
