This is one of the recipes I have put together for the new cookbook I am going to be making. With the price of, well, everything soaring; I am making up some recipes that stretch a thin budget really far. they aren't gourmet, but good for an average night dinner.

Poor man's "beef stew"

Both my and my husband's favorite part of beef stew is the potatoes! Here is a dirt cheap version of "beef stew" without stew meat, but it keeps all of the wonderful flovor, and doesn't miss any of the "good stuff". Higher calorie, but low fat and high fiber, while seriously pinching those pennies! Another one of the recipes from my "Fabulously Frugal" cookbook. Again, not a gourmet meal, but definitely stick to your ribs good eating when on a serious budget!

quick, tasty, and CHEAP! I buy my chicken patties bulk from Sam's club- it makes a difference in the price. Part of the Fabulously Frugal cookbook I have here on SparkRecipes. This recipe is VERY filling.
