My mother was married to a wonderful man, Bart Shishmanian. He was a great father figure, and a wonderful Grandfather. He taught me how to fix this wonderful Rice Pilaf the first year they were married. My kids absolutely love it. I haven't tried to make it substituting a lesser fat product. If you do, please let me know.

A simple but authentic rice pilaf with a lot of taste. Perfect side dish since it won't overwhelm other flavors of meats or sauces.

You can have your cake and eat it too. This is a yummy loaded potato dish and the only "diet" food is the butter. At just over 200 calories it is a wonderful comfort food and goes excellent with my 4 ounce filet mignon with no bacon.

This is my favorite recipe for potatoes. You can make it even lighter by using nonfat or lowfat cheese, nonfat sour cream and nonfat milk. But I like a little fat and I used what I had available! LOL

This is delicious as a side dish, or rolled into a tortilla as an entree itself. If you dont like spicy food, you can use the Mild Pace Picante Sauce. The cheese can also be omitted to reduce fat and calories, and it is just as good.
Each serving is 3/4c.
