Cookbook creator says: I used canned asparagus.When adding canned asparagus I waited until ham-turkey and penne were added so that it wouldn't be mooshy. The asparagus still had gotten mooshy but it actually spread out and made the sauce seem cheesy. It was so great that I was demanded to keep making it!
