Cookbook creator says: I just got him to try polenta for the first time last night, as a side to steak and mushrooms. It went over okay considering the dog stole his steak and he insisted on going to Arby's afterwards.
This looks like a good second intro for him - with protein a bit less tempting for the dog.

I got this from the Whole Foods app for the iPhone. I exchanged the suggested 2 Tablespoons of Parmesan cheese for 1/2 Cups of Romano cheese. Obviously the original recipe has fewer calories and fat.
