Salads have become a staple to my meals. I was getting tired of the usual bottled dressings so one day I was going to make my regular poppy seed dressing and I didn't have enough rice wine vinegar so I substituted half lemon juice and was I pleasantly surprised at the taste.
I actually like it better. I then went on and tried using orange juice and lime juice. Each was just as tasty as the one I made with half lemon juice, hence the name Citrus Vinaigrette.Submitted by MARLY53
These pork chops are delicious and EASY to make! Out of all of my low-cal recipes this is one of my favorites! Sauce is perfect over rice or potatoe. Be sure to use bone-in chops so that they are moist.Submitted by NANCYANNIE1
This recipe came from my sister Jean. It originally called for 1.25 cups of olive oil & a full cup of heavy cream instead of a half cup of half&half. I tried to lessen the fat content by reducing those items. I also subsituted earth balance for butter and even though the calculator is based on store-bought broth, I used homemade with much less sodium.Submitted by JULIEIRENE
I love making this soup in the summer with fresh yellow squash from my garden, as well as runner beans, peas, an ear or two of corn cut from the cob, a few fresh carrots, etc. tasty, and full of good veggies. Yum!Submitted by KEEYAHWE
