If you are cooking for someone on a low sodium diet, use this recipe instead of taco seasoning. This recipe is the equivelant to one package of taco seasoning (or 3 tablespoons.) Adjust the strength of any ingredient to your taste.

Similar concept to another recipe of mine, and other popular recipes on this site, but this recipe uses low sodium ingredients, and is still very tasty! I freeze leftovers in small microwaveable containers, and place them back in the refridgerator the day before I want to reheat them.

I love salsa but it seems all the store bought ones are so high in sodium that I wasn't able to enjoy much of them. I came up with this recipe that has all the flavor and ingredients that I love and is so low in sodium that I can have as much as I want. Delicious! This is a hot version. If you prefer a mild salsa, leave out the jalopeno pepper.

Forget the kind in the cans, this tastes better and has far less sodium and fat than even the "low sodium" brand of canned chunky chicken noodle soup. It's very easy to make, with an investment of about an hour's worth of time. The ingredients are simple. Plus, you can feed your family for a few days on one big pot. To lower the calorie count, eliminate the beans and farfalle.

I buy a whole rotisserie chicken at the grocery store for this recipe and use only the dark meat for the soup. Use the breast for salads & sandwiches. 1 cup serving has 138 mg sodium

This has got a wonderful gravy and is an easy dish to make. My husband who loves his salt and hates mushrooms really like the taste (after removing the mushrooms to my plate). Less than 90mg sodium per serving.

Low sodium, crock pot
You might want to increase the Worcester sauce to 2 tsp, and I have also added mushrooms to this at times. It goes well with brown rice.
We get 8 servings from this, but if you have hearty eaters you might only get 6.
