You can use whole wheat pasta if you desire but I used enriched pasta this time. I use white flour for a thickening agent but there are others that are lower calorie. I used a little evaporated milk and added nonfat milk to keep the fat content down and keep the flavor. This was a recipe to make my family content and it was a hit.

These are so good they taste bad for you!!! This is a great cold-weather comfort food, reheat wonderfully for lunches, freeze well and are easy to prepare ahead of time!

I love cauliflower...and cheese. Ham adds a bit of flavor and protein. You can sub chicken and light cheese for an even lighter meal. Have one cup with a salad, or two cups if your hungrier.
