Slow Cooker Meals
I love my slow cooker! These are all good recipes, mostly ones I've tried but also ones that experience tells me will be good options in the future.

Cookbook creator says: This is very good. I add twice as much garlic and throw in some vegetables at the end for balance. Submitted by CAROL_ Carbs: 15.6g | Fat: 3.4g | Fiber: 0.7g | Protein: 19.9g | Calories: 173.1

Cookbook creator says: This has a ton of flavour and is everything orange chicken should be - not that gelatinous sugary stuff from the buffet! Careful with the ginger - even half the amount suggested is a lot to take for more sensitive palates. Submitted by HEALTHIERLYNN Carbs: 20.4g | Fat: 2.6g | Fiber: 0.3g | Protein: 47g | Calories: 295.4

Cookbook creator says: This is creamy and rich but surprisingly healthy! I serve it over whole-wheat egg noodles like a stroganoff. Submitted by MOM2EMENDREW Carbs: 7.1g | Fat: 3.5g | Fiber: 0.4g | Protein: 51.6g | Calories: 313.9

Cookbook creator says: The dryness some people are concerned about in the comments can be avoided easily by using a richer part of the chicken, like boneless skinless thighs, in smaller portions, which doesn't change the nutritional information very much. Submitted by JENNBEAN Carbs: 14.1g | Fat: 0.6g | Fiber: 0.3g | Protein: 8.5g | Calories: 95.5

Cookbook creator says: I do this a little differently by adding garlic and cooking the chicken and sauce in the slow cooker, then serving over rice. To let the rice absorb more of the flavours, use some of the sauce from the slow cooker in place of water when cooking the rice at the end - yum! Submitted by SLCOLMAN Carbs: 49.9g | Fat: 6.6g | Fiber: 1.7g | Protein: 32.3g | Calories: 399.9

Cookbook creator says: This is a very interesting recipe that anyone can adapt to their own tastes. I love broccoli and I strive to make it the primary flavour in this soup. Submitted by EASTERCAT Carbs: 28.4g | Fat: 2.3g | Fiber: 8.7g | Protein: 16.3g | Calories: 181.4

Cookbook creator says: I don't use the tapioca, but leave the lid off the slow cooker for the last couple of hours of cooking time to thicken the sauce without needing to buy a special ingredient. Orange and teriyaki are complimentary and this dish is something anyone would enjoy. Submitted by NAFISKE Carbs: 57.3g | Fat: 3.5g | Fiber: 6.4g | Protein: 35.2g | Calories: 397.5

Cookbook creator says: I'm a sucker for takeout chow mein, and making it at home is always fun. I buy the mini corn cobs especially for this recipe - they make it seem so much more authentic somehow. Submitted by BEEEZY Carbs: 38.4g | Fat: 18.3g | Fiber: 4.8g | Protein: 35.6g | Calories: 458.6

Cookbook creator says: Creamy, rich, and delicious - this definitely doesn't seem like diet food! It's like that restaurant dish you see on the menu and know you shouldn't have but you still really want to order it. Except this time you can eat it, guilt-free! Submitted by KIMMYKIM3883 Carbs: 13.8g | Fat: 13.7g | Fiber: 0g | Protein: 23.4g | Calories: 282.3

Cookbook creator says: Any marinade is usable as a sauce for slow cooker meals, and teriyaki is a safe bet for feeding just about anyone! Try it with (pre-browned for texture) tofu, chicken, beef, or salmon. The meat just falls apart from the slow cooker and the marinade is delicious!
