This is a delicious Indian recipe, that I got from the director of the movie "Bend it Like Beckam". At the end of the DVD, the director prepares this dish along with her mother, and aunt. Submitted by CORNWALLCATE Carbs: 24.2g | Fat: 9.8g | Fiber: 5.7g | Protein: 5g | Calories: 192.7

DELICIOUS, easy, and now only 214 calories per serving!! This is my modification of a Chicken Tikka Masala recipe on this site. It sounded great, but I wanted to use less oil, didn't want to buy garam masala (when I had the ingredients for it on hand already), added a missing ingredient into the calorie count, and reduced the serving size. Still very yummy! Submitted by YIYEHTOV Carbs: 9.9g | Fat: 6.6g | Fiber: 2.4g | Protein: 29.2g | Calories: 214.6

I made some Pakoras today, but saved half the batter to try and bake it instead of frying it. It worked! They may not be quite as crisp, but they're still SO delicious! Submitted by KRAVMAGAGIRL Carbs: 21.1g | Fat: 1.8g | Fiber: 5.6g | Protein: 6.1g | Calories: 119

This recipe is so simple and good! Even my husband who hates Indian food really likes this. It has a great tomato base, which can be diluted by adding more sour cream. Add any vegetables or spices you like and serve with rice or naan! Submitted by CAMSMITH89 Carbs: 22.9g | Fat: 6.1g | Fiber: 4.9g | Protein: 12.4g | Calories: 183.9

Delicious chunks of paneer are marinated in a spicy yogurt mixture and then fried, roasted or broiled. I used them in a whole wheat pita stuffed with spinach and tomatoes. Can serve with a tomato based gravy, on a bed of rice, with some stir-fried vegetables, or eat as is for a tasty snack. Eggchef had mentioned a craving for samosas a while back, and I figured, why not a big one, instead of the bite-sized? So, here’s what emerged: all the flavour of samosas including the healthiness of the vegetables and the spices of the curry, wrapped in a delectable, flaky pastry crust. You will need a 10 inch spring-form pan for this recipe, which is fully vegan and a lot lower in fat than the deep-fried bites, and as a bonus it only gets better as it sits! Actually, it’s best made a day ahead and then reheated at 350F for 40-45 minutes. Submitted by JO_JO_BA Carbs: 54.1g | Fat: 17.5g | Fiber: 6.7g | Protein: 7.5g | Calories: 396.5

This rice has a rich, creamy texture as if cheese had been added to it. The olive oil, onion, and turmeric have nice, mild flavor that compliments seafood, pork, & chicken as well as most vegetables (especially stir-fry). Add 1/2 cup chopped cooked broccoli to it as a substitute to substantially higher calorie/saturated fat broccoli/cheese rice. Each serving is 1/2 cup.
