Cookbook creator says: have a similar recipe that is a little easier. You take a regular brownie mix (9x13) size. Drain the black beans, then put them back in the can. Fill the can with water just to cover the black beans. Puree water & beans. Add to brownie mix and bake as directed. Do not add box ingred.

Cookbook creator says: Sounds good. I've made things like this before, and you DON'T make the pudding first (as you notice, it doesn't call for milk in the recipe). You sprinkle 1/2 a box of DRY pudding mix onto the pumpkin (the "makes 4 servings" size box). That's what keeps it thick enough to pipe on the vanilla wafer
