This is a recipe that has been handed down thur our family. I have adapted only by substituting ground turkey for the ground beef. To reduce more calories and fat your could eliminate the shredded parmesan cheese, however, I have come to love this recipe as is and I'm not ready to deduct any ingredients at this point.
