Raw alternative to banana bread! Great served as cookies or as a spread for apples! [this recipe is not mine - it is modified from goneraw.com but I wanted the nutrition info]

All fruit! No sugar, no nuts, just yummy, fresh, juicy fruit and lots of flavor. The carob is optional - I like mine better without it.

These easy chickpea flour pancakes are delicious as a snack with some yogurt raita or paired with Indian dishes.

Besan flour is available at Asian food markets. I've also found it in the health food section of larger grocery stores and at organic food stores.

This is a breakfast for beating cholesterol and keeping the hungries at bay. Packed with fiber and tons of nutrients. I would advise taking your meds at least an hour before or after.

I'm not a big fan of smoothies so finding raw breakfast ideas can be a challenge, but this one happens to be one of my favorites.

Adapted from http://detoxdarling.com/recipe-raw-vegan-bacon/ made with what I had around. I like it a lot - especially with a roma tomato sliced, drizzled with a honey-mustard dressing and sandwiched between two lettuce leaves. I might suggest that you adjust the sweetness to taste. Plan ahead need dehydrator time (24-36 hours).

Great for days when you've only been eating raw fruit and veggies, and want to add some carbs, fat and protein. Enjoy with 1/4 a cup of your favorite nut milk, or half the portion to 1/8 of a cup and use as a crunchy topping for fruit!

It's incredibly filling though, so don't go overboard the first time!

Scones (Whole Wheat, Vegan)
Very Good 4.7/5
(11 ratings)

By nature of being vegan, this recipe is cholesterol free, though I suppose you could change that and use regular butter and milk instead if that's what you have on hand.

This is a plain recipe that will make a biscuit-like scone, but you can jazz them up with whatever you have around: cinnamon, blueberries, dark chocolate chips, etc.

I usually add about a cup of blueberries. (If you do this, add .125 cups of blueberries to your nutrition tracker for each serving)
