I love granola! Nothing better then high protein and high fiber! It's so good on warm apples, yogurt, as cereal and just by the handful! It's fun and so easy to make. You can substitute the nuts, dried fruit and even add chocolate chips when the granola is cooled. Whatver your fancy is!

I had a bag of Blueberry Muesli from trader Joe's and I tried it in milk and didn't care for it, so I had to think what could I create with it? After reading the ingredients, i saw apple was in it, so I thought, hmmm, apples = maple granola. This smells so good and is nice and crunchy!!

The Banana in this recipe makes it! It'scrunchy, not as clumpy as I wish it would be, but it is sooooo good!! Even I'm impressed with myself on this one!!! If you truly like a banana taste, I'd omit the apple sauce and add more banana. Next will be Banana Nut Granola! Yum!!! Stay tuned...

Salty Peanut Butter Pretzel Granola Bars

Needed a change with lunch, this will give you energy and help with your muscles with all the potassium. This is great bar to take on hikes. These bars are soft and normal recipe calls for 12, but I got 24 of them by cutting the bars to normal brownie size bar. Top these bad boys with peanut butter and you got heaven!! I wanted some pesto, but didn't want all the calories, so I made my own with spinach instead of basil. You would never know it's not a full loaded high calorie pesto! My friend who is a pesto finatic, had no idea that it was made with spincach and no nuts! The only diffrence between the two is the shade of green. You can add greek yogurt to it to make it creamy!

I love the fall and I love apple and pear butter. I got this recipe from Whole Foods, I just tweaked it a bit, just by adding lemon juice to keep the fruit from browning. The consistency is like apple sauce. It would go great with pork, chicken with mashed potatoes on the side. I'm using this to put in my yogurt, pancakes, ice cream and oatmeal.
