One day I decided to substitute a can of black beans for garbanzo beans while making hummus. t might actually be better than garbanzo bean hummus. I added the basil because I had some growing in my garden.

I'm not a big pumpkin fan but this works well and is a great after school protein snack with pita bread, rice crackers (especially salsa flavoured ones) or wholemeal crackers.

Cookbook creator says: This was so amazing - almost like the texture of a cheese ball. I made it without the olives, hubby doesn't like them. And I didn't have fresh tomatoes, so I added dry sun dried tomatoes. It was amazingly delicious!!!
