This delicious quick bread is somewhere between sweet and savory and contains only 3g of added sugar per serving, as opposed to 13-20 grams of refined sugars in similar quick breads. Practically any puréed fruit can substitute for the pears; unsweeted applesauce, apricots, or even plums would work well!

These muffins are a wonderful treat that my kids LOVE!! I have redone the recipe to make it lower in calories and fat at only approximately 3 grams of fat each muffin!!

Easy to make whole wheat bread that is soft, rises well and doesn't taste like a brick!
Makes two one pound loaves, each sliced into 11 slices. One slice is one serving.

I use 1 cup Bread flour to soften the bread - makes a better sandwich. You could use all Whole Wheat if you prefer
