This is a filling complement to any beef, poultry, fish, etc. Some use red beans rather than black but I grew up eating it with black beans. With a pressure cooker and a rice cooker on hand, it almost makes itself. It is delicious to anyone who likes the cuban flair.

A departure from standard pasta with tomato sauce- Neufchatel Cheese is used in place of cream cheese and the nutmeg and crushed red pepper flakes give it a unique flavor! A great new way to "eat your spinach"!
Ziti or Penne pasta can be used.
