Very Good 4.8/5

Nutritious, kid-friendly and a healthy way to satisfy a chocolate craving. They can look pretty sophisticated when rolled in different toppings- powdered sugar, grated coconut, cocoa...

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease muffin cups or line with paper muffin liners.
Mix together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. In a separate bowl, beat together banana, sugar, egg and vanilla. Stir in the yogurt (I've used applesauce when out of plain yogurt as well). Stir banana mixture into flour until just combined. Scoop batter into prepared muffin cups.
Bake in preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into center of a muffin comes out clean. Let cool before serving.

This is an altered version of Black Bean Brownies and Black Bean Fudge Squares Recipes.
Instead of walnuts and chocolate chips, you could easily use cinnimon, peanut butter, coffee or other flavors.
I kept the serving to a 2"x2" square so they are easier for me to count at 100 cal per serving. These squares are pretty gooey and stick to the pan. I think they are better on the second day, although they fall apart more. I had my husband try these knowing there was a "secret" ingredient. He loved them.

Little cupcakes made with black beans. Gluten free! I use coconut sugar, found at health food stores, because it has a much lower glycemic index.

You'll never know this delicious bread has black beans in it. Neither will your kids. Or your husband :) The original recipe calls for 1.5 cups brown sugar, so bump it up if you want it really sweet. This makes a fine desert bread with fruit or breakfast bread with cafe latte. Enjoy!

Mini Apple Tarts
Very Good 4.3/5

Instead of a whole pie, try making bite-size tarts. The diminutive desserts cook quicker and are automatically portion controlled. Plus, they're easier to make for a crowd, and there's no need for a fork and plate.

Butavan Brownies
Incredible! 5.0/5

A lower calorie brownie with a chocolate-butterscotch taste This recipe recommends the use of a special flavoring called butavan, which has a butterscotch-like flavor. It can be ordered online, but is difficult to find in stores. If you prefer, you can omit the butavan and just use pure vanilla extract and/or butter flavoring then substitute the chocolate chips for butterscotch chips for about 5 more calories per serving to get a similar flavor. Or, skip the butterscotch flavor and just use vanilla and butter flavoring. :)
